5th Kings Place Chess Festival, sponsored by DeMontford Bell - Results

Format: 6-SS
Time control: 25 minutes + 5 seconds a move

ALL sections are ECF graded and top four are FIDE rated. The event is in FIVE sections, Open (for the strongest players), Major Under 170, Minor Under 145 and Amateur Under 120. There is an ECF graded tournament for players with a grade of Under 85 or for players who have never had a grade or rating over the board. This is suitable for anyone playing their first chess tournament.

Click here for the website of the Kings Place Festival.

If you have never played in a tournament before and you have never had a rating the Amateur is the appropriate section for you!

First Prize is £1000 / Second Prize is £500 / Third Prize is £250 in the Open. Players with the GM, IM and FM titles can claim a discounted entry by registering online before the event. We use FIDE rapid ratings for seeding in the top sections.
